AI Launchpad for School Superintendents
A 90-minute virtual strategy workshop to turn AI noise into a clear, district-ready plan.
AI is moving faster than K-12 policy, and superintendents are being asked to “have an AI plan” while juggling staffing, budgets, and community expectations. Vendors are loud, parents are nervous, and teachers are already experimenting with AI tools. The AI Launchpad for School Superintendents is a focused virtual session that cuts through the hype and helps your leadership team move from uncertainty to a practical, district-ready roadmap.
What this workshop is
The AI Launchpad for School Superintendents is a 90-minute, live online strategy workshop for superintendents and their key cabinet members. Together, we clarify what AI really means for teaching, learning, and operations in your district, surface practical use cases that fit your context, and identify low-risk pilots you can stand behind. The tone is practical, research-informed, and grounded in real classrooms and district realities.
Who this is for
Primary audience: school superintendents and assistant superintendents.
Recommended participants: curriculum and instruction leaders, technology directors, and other cabinet-level leaders shaping your district’s AI strategy.
In 90 minutes we will
- Clarify the current K-12 AI landscape in plain language, including opportunities, risks, and equity implications.
- Explore concrete use cases for AI in instruction, teacher workload, student support, and district operations.
- Identify three to five realistic pilot ideas that fit your district’s size, culture, and constraints.
What your district takes away
- A one-page “AI vision for our district” statement you can refine and share with your board and community.
- A prioritized list of 3-5 AI pilot ideas with notes on impact, risk, and feasibility.
- A 30-day checklist to move from workshop discussion to visible action.
- A follow-up call to check progress and address early questions.
Beyond the workshop: deeper support
For districts that want more support after the AI Launchpad session, Dr. Abrams offers:
- A District AI Roadmap package - a multi-session engagement that turns your workshop output into a full, board-ready AI strategy and implementation roadmap.
- An AI Plan & Vendor Review advisory service - independent, research-driven review of AI vendor proposals and internal AI plans, helping you spot gaps, risks, and misalignment with your goals before you commit.

About Dr. Karen Abrams
Dr. Karen Abrams holds an Ed.D in Technology Education from the University of Florida. Her dissertation was a cluster-randomized trial (N = 233) comparing an AI-enhanced digital learning platform to an identical non-AI platform in Guyanese Learning Pods. Over eight weeks, the AI-enhanced platform did not produce statistically significant gains in Mathematics or English beyond the non-AI version — clear evidence that AI in education depends on implementation, not just the algorithm. She founded STEMGuyana and built Pathway Online Academy — an AI-integrated learning platform serving students across Guyana. The AI Launchpad for School Superintendents is grounded in that research and operational experience, combining evidence-based insight with practical district leadership experience so your team can make confident, well-informed decisions about AI.
